Advocacy
• "Sex Workers in Armenia ", situation survey funded by UNFPA ( Yerevan , 2000)
The situational analysis aimed at assessing the health and social conditions of FSWs, their behavioral peculiarities.
The analysis was conducted in 4 cities of Armenia: Yerevan , Gyumri, Vanadzor, Kapan.
The summarized results were published in "Report on Peculiarities of Commercial Sex Work in Armenia ".
The leaflet "Stop and Think" was developed and published.
• 2000, "STD/AIDS prevention and protection of civil rights among female sex-workers" funded by OSIFA ( Yerevan )
Provision of medical, psychological counseling at Trust center among FSWs, performance of outreach works.
Provision legal counseling and protection.
Monitoring the enactment of legal act regulated and/or affecting of FSW.
Hope and Help NGO participated:
• in drafting Antitrafficking law in Armenia
• Discussion of the law on "witness protection" organized by OSCE Mission in Armenia
• Organized a round table discussion "Prostitution - situation in Armenia , possible ways of legislative adjustment"
HIV/AIDS Harm Reduction among Adolescent, Youth, Public at Large, High Risk Groups - Women, Female Sex Workers (FSW).
• 2004-2008, Vanadzor - "Prevention of HIV/AIDS among the female sex workers", funded by World Vision
HIV/AIDS prevention, establishment of VCT, STI treatment in Vanadzor. Outreach street works performed: dissemination of information materials and condom distribution among FSWs.
• 2004, Yerevan - "Harm reduction of risk of HIV/STD, social rehabilitation of female sex workers", funded by OSIFA
Increasing awareness , social rehabilitation among female sex workers.
• 2003-2005, "STI/HIV Harm reduction program in Lori and Tavush marzes", funded by MSF Belgium
Establishment of Information Centre to provide counseling on reproductive health, STDs/HIV/AIDS issues. Increasing of awareness among adolescent, youth, general population, high risk groups in Lori and Tavush marzes. School teachers have been trained on "Sexual Education" for further teaching in schools. The "You have a choice" leaflet has been issued.
• 2002, Yerevan - "Your life is in your hands", funded by "Mama Cash" Fund, Netherlands
Peer-to-Peer education of female sex workers.
• 2001, Yerevan - " Medical Center for Women in Unfavorable Conditions" in collaboration with UMCOR, Medical Center of Dermatology and STI.
Voluntary medical counseling in STI/HIV issues among women in unfavorable conditions.
• 2000, Yerevan - "Medical Information and Sexual Education" Vardashen special school funded by MSF France.

Prevention of Trafficking, Support for Victims of Trafficking and Social Rehabilitation
• 2019- 2020 “Strengthen Labor Rights Protection in Armenia through Education” project. The project is founded by the Democracy Commissions’ small grant program.
• 2019 June-December “Social-psychological rehabilitation measures for victims of exploitation and human trafficking, and girls’ subjected to sexual violence” project. The project is funded by the grant of Bureau for international Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State and financial support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Issues of the Republic of Armenia.
• 2017-2018 “Regional Cooperation between Non-Government Organizations of Russia, Armenia, and Georgia for Meaningful Involvement of Children and Young People in the Promotion of Safe Use of the Internet” the project is funded by Stellit International.
• 2014-2016 "Strengthening Armenia's Capacity to Combat Trafficking in Persons and Child Abuse" - The project was funded by the grant of Bureau for international Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
• 2014-2015 "United Knowledge and the Best Practice to Protect Armenian Children". The project is implemented by "Hope and Help" NGO in the partnership with the Estonian Women's Studies and Research Center(ENUT) funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs funds for development and humanitarian aid.
• 2014-2015 "HIV/AIDS Prevention Among CSWs in Lori Marz". The project was founded by the grant of the Global Fund .
• 2013-2015 "Hope and Help NGO" in the partnership with The Garden of Hope Foundation based in Taiwan in the frame of "Asian girl empowerment project" on December 1-25, 2013 conducted seminars in Yerevan. Seminars were implemented for 53 high school students and 5 teachers. The seminars had an aim to rise awareness on child trafficking and child abuse among high school students.
• 2012-2014 "Empowered Armenia To Combat Trafficking in Persons". The project was funded by the grant of Bureau for international Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
• 2012-2014 "Voluntary Repatriation and Humanitarian Reintegration of Refugees" from Germany, Bulgaria, Poland. The project was funded by "Heimatgarten".
• 2011-2012 "Assistance and Reintegration of Victims of Trafficking in Armenia, Capacity Building of Regional Law Enforcement Bodies". The project was funded by the grant of Bureau for international Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
• 2011 Assistance, Social Rehabilitation and Reintegration of VoTs in Persons in Armenia.
• 2009-2011 "Support to actions aimed at prevention harm to children affected by armed conflicts and at fightings against child trafficking and rehabilitating victims" founded by EC
Mobilized and empowered system of prevention of child trafficking in Armenia through awareness raising, capacity building and networking.
• 2009-2010 Vanadzor - "Prevention of HIV/AIDS among the female sex workers", funded by World Vision
HIV/AIDS prevention, establishment of VCT, STI treatment in Vanadzor. Outreach street works performed: dissemination of information materials and condom distribution among FSWs.
• 2009-2010 " Formation of a system for efficient protection , social reintegration and rehabilitation of VoTs" funded by US Government
• To assist effective prosecution of the traffickers through formation of efficient cooperation between victims of trafficking and law enforcement agencies.
• To support VoTs identified during the project and VoTs identified during previous years, by organizing their professional training courses in manicurist, culinary, hairdressing etc.
• 2009 May-June "Development of capacities of representatives of law-enforcements in the field of trafficking prevention" founded by ILO
To promote to the formulation of efficient cooperation between the representatives of the law-machinery /court, police, prosecutor's office, security, labour administration/ against people exploitation /trafficking/ and prevention of forced labour cases .
• 2007-2009, "NGO and Governmental Cooperation across the South Caucasus to Develop a Joint Response to Trafficking in Women and Children" funded by EC
• To rise the qualification of law enforcement structure staff members, those of social service and journalists
• To establish direct links among the staff of law enforcement structures,those of social service and journalists.

• 2006-2007, "Establishment of cross-border cooperation mechanisms on addressing issues of trafficking in human beings in the South Caucasus, funded by CRS
Project was the establishment a "Core Trainers' Group" (CTG) for the South Caucasus countries. A joint training of trainers program (ToT) were provided for Georgian, Armenian and Azeri members of the above-mentioned CTG. The training covered first level training. It applied special modules on how to deliver and systemize knowledge of trafficking, specifics of trainings for law enforcement agencies and practical small group work facilitation skills.
• 2006 "Low drafting initiative" funded by UNDP Armenia
To cultivate draft Law on "Combating trafficking in Humans", draft Low "State protection of Persons Participating in Criminal Proceedings", draft lows on "Amending the Criminal Code of the Republic in Armenia "
• May-August 2004, The first stage of partnership within Regional Anti-Trafficking Program.
During this program representatives of the "Hope and Help" NGO, together with colleagues from Georgian NGO "People Harmonious Development Society", make a trip to Georgia (Sarpi-on the border of Georgia and Turkey ), and Turkey ( Istanbul , Ankara , Trabzon ). Main aim of this program is: description of trafficking cases, reaching out to and interviewing victims of trafficking (VoT) in Turkey, analyze the possibilities of repatriation, analysis of cases and preparation of recommendations for the South Caucasus specialists to prevent trafficking and provide assistance to the victims, assistance organization to VoTs (citizens of Armenia) in Turkey (medical assistance, legal assistance, repatriation), establishment of bi-lateral and possibly regional cooperation.
• 2003-2008, "Support Service for Victims of Trafficking", funded by US Government.
Identification of victims of trafficking, provision of medical, psychological and legal support and social rehabilitation. Establishment of a Toll Free Help Line and shelter for Victims of Trafficking.
• 2003 "Prevention of Trafficking and Harm Reduction of HIV/STD infection risk among Sex-Workers in Yerevan ", funded by OSIFA
The " Trust Center " has been established for FSWs to provide anonymous medical and psychological support as well as to increase awareness on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS/STDs prevention issues. Outreach street works performed: dissemination of information materials and condom distribution among FSWs. Publication of "Kind advice to friends" leaflet.
• 2002-2003, Noyemberyan region - " Community Capacity Building to Prevent of Trafficking in Women and Children", funded by World Learning
Information campaign to increase the awareness of general population on trafficking issues. Workshops and round tables to mobilize the capacity of communities. Publication of the leaflet "The way to servitude".
• 2000, Yerevan - "STD/HIV Prevalence among Migrating FSW", funded by IOM
The " Trust Center " has been established for migrant FSWs (VoT). Provision with confidential medical counseling and psychological support. Increased awareness on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS/STDs prevention issues. Outreach street works performed: dissemination of information materials and condom distribution among FSWs. Publication of "Do you know" leaflet.
Youth Project.
• 2011, Germany- "Youth Exchange Program", funded by EC
Meet Europe is a multinational youth exchange between Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Armenia and Ukraine. Main theme of this exchange is Anti-Discrimination on ethnical and national identity.
